Break

Took a few days break, trying to balance myself and move on. Had a few tough days and some big time clearing was going on that I was not feeling well for a few days. So, took some time off to rest and relax. For the latest updates on what Shri Mataji is doing or saying, please go to www.shrimataji.org . Beautiful stories. I think I will take more breaks. Need to really balance myself and not to have ego.

Guru the Dog

No, I am not insulting any guru. Guru is the name of a Golden Retriever ( i think) and he belongs to Shri Mataji. I first met him when I went to Cabella for Shri Ganesha Puja in September 2001. The Malaysians were the first few groups to arrived and in the big pendal, there were only about 50 people staying the night. It was so cold that I have to wear 5 layers of clothing. Due to jet lag, I woke up at 3am Cabella time, which was 9am Malaysian time, and I saw Guru walking around the pendal. We called him and he came and gave us some warmth. He laid down and slept next to us. We were told that Guru has the qualities of a guru. He knows what's right and what's wrong and so often he will correct those people who made mistakes knowingly or unknowingly by barking at them. I have seen him barking at children who were running on the stage, where Shri Mataji's altar was placed. He had barked at a lady who was carrying her shoes into the pendal (which we were not allow

Shri Krishna Puja

This year the raksha bandhan was very different from other years. The sisters will pick a brother's name from a box which is under the same age group and then go to the brother, perform the ceremony and tie the string. This way, every brother will get a rakhi and no favourites or being left out. I tied for Krishnan, Camaresan, Richard Ravi, Paramjit and Caesar, who came from Hong Kong. It was a beautiful occasion. The vibrations were just flowing and the rakhis were so cool.

Colours

A few of the yogis came last Sunday to make rakhis together for Shri Krishna Puja. Seetha brought her daughter, Nira, 3 years old. While we were making rakhis, Little Nira did her drawing and colouring. I drew a face for her and she started to colour in blue. So, without thinking, I told her, no don't use blue colour. Use skin colour, I said. She doesn't understand what I was saying, and I took out beige colour for her. Little did I realise, that the so-called skin colour is actually for oriental people and whites. Little Nira is an Indian mixed with Romanian, so her skin colour is brown. Much later I realised I was being racist, without meaning to do so. From young, I was taught to colour faces with beige colour because that is the skin colour as I was told. Although I live in Malaysia, where there are Indians and Malays, all my drawings of human beings are coloured in beige. I didn't think to colour with brown or black at all. So, Little Nira has made me r

The Secret

I came to know of the book 'The Secret' from Lat. I have not read the book yet, but saw the discussion on 'Oprah' yesterday night. The Secret is basically ancient teachings of the law of attraction. What you give out is what you get. If you give out negative feelings, you will get that back and vice versa. So, basically, being Sahaja Yogis, we could understand this law much better as we have received our self-realisation and Shri Mataji has spoken about this so many times. If we keep our attention on good things, and when we talk, we speak sweetly, then we will get back all these good things too. It is actually more than that, and it is hard for me to explain because I have not read the book yet. It is about forgiveness, gratitude, being thankful and all that. Sometimes we have to forgive not for the other person, but we forgive for ourselves. We have to be thankful that we received our self-realisation and have gratitude in every single thing that the Di

Bless in every way

Sometimes you wonder how the Divine work things out. I wondered that very much since I had acute appendicitis. I got my lab test results and it turns out I was in a very early stage of acute appendicitis. Some people have asked me whether I actually saw the appendix, and whether the doc has just cut me up for no reason. I was actually having so much thoughts about it and finally just checked vibrations and it was justified. I feel that I was so protected that I got diagnosed at such an early stage, which makes recovery so much faster and no complications. Besides that I got the rest I have wanted, I am off work for 3 weeks. So, no complains.

The power of bandhan

When I was in the hospital, I was sharing the room with 3 other patients. One had a brain surgery, another had skin disease and the third has pneumonia. The pneumonia patient was opposite me. During the wee hours in the morning on my second day at the hospital, the pneumonia patient's condition suddenly turned critical. All nurses rushed to her aid and she went unconscious. With one hand on drip, I managed to give her a bandhan and immediately she came out of consciousness. Then, slipped back to sleep. Another bandhan, conscious, then sleep. Finally, they transferred her to ICU and I gave bandhan and hope for the best. When I left the hospital she was still in ICU and I do not know how was her condition. But I can see the immediate power of the bandhan and pure desire.

Yuva Shaktis

Finally, I get some free time to blog. Been really busy in this peak time. Yesterday, I have accidentally came accross 2 teenagers blog. After reading a few posts, I was wondering what is happening to this world because a phenomenon has hit Malaysia, and it has been happening gradually from the influence of the West. When I was in school, at that time the latest video game was Mario Brothers. I was of course, like the other teenagers, crazy about it and when my dad finally got me one, I was so stuck to it. Then there was the walkman craze, later was discman. Handphone craze only came about when I was in college. There was also no Astro, so we were stuck to TV1, TV2 and TV3 and for a short period of time, Metrovision. NTV7 came much later. My sister and I would record movies on the TV, especially during CNY when all the chinese movies will be aired, though it is not the most up to date. Then we will play these movies when we are free and watches them. We repeatedly watch these movies to

Shri Adi Shakti Puja and more

Last Saturday, we had a beautiful Shri Adi Shakti Puja at Seberang Jaya, north of Malaysia, about 4 hours drive from KL. Everything was really good, but unfortunately, I didn't charge the battery of my camera, so I didn't take any photos. I would like to share a speech made by Babamama, Shri Mataji's brother, which has really opened my heart, answered some of my questions. It is really a wonderful talk. The following is a beautiful talk by Baba Mama, Shri Mataji's beloved brother who brought the creative arts, especially music, to the forefront in the Sahaj family. He encouraged and inspired Sahaj Yogis to greater and greater creative heights. One can say he was the embodiment of music in Sahaja Yoga. Expectations (Chaitaya Mela, Maharashtra Sahaja Yoga Seminar, Nagpur 1999) You believe that God is omnipresent, omnipotent and all-pervading. In fact, you believe that He is in every atom. As natural corollary of this belief you must also know that God knows wh

Wow....6 months I have abandoned this blog. Been really busy with work, studies and Sahaj work. I will just summarised everything : In January, did the Sahaj workshop in Subang Parade (post below): In February, Chinese New Year, busy with the festivities : Since it is the year of the pig, you can see all the piglets. My aunt and my mom bought tulips, but they didn't last very long. Have to keep in air-conditioned room at all times. My cousin's dog gave birth and Lat adopted this cute puppy, Madhyam. Music for the spirit workshop

Wow, I haven't been posting for the past 2 weeks. Well, I was not busy, not yet, but cannot find any topic to write about. Yesterday, we had a Music for the Spirit Workshop at MPH Subang Parade. About 20 people received their self-realisation through music. I was extremely nervous because you know...public speaking and me. But somehow, manage to pull through, sang in public and spoke without paper. It was the 3rd time for me and yet I still felt very nervous. The vibrations were flowing so strongly the whole time. Everyone who present felt something, whether hot or cool, tingling or numbness. In conclusion, music is a good method to give self-realisation, in my opinion. It makes people calmer and relaxed before the self-realisation process. My mistake was I did not practised enough before the session, and my voice started to break half way through singing. And I was so nervous in singing, my heart beat so fast, my voice started to waver. Well, I have learnt from my mistak
